Physical Description Of Uppersides:
Upperside of both sexes pale brownish, apical half of wings paler. On the fore wings of Junonia atlities has three diagonal black cells. Both sides of fore wings contain 6 major oval or circle spots, spot 2 and 5 is more highlighted than 1,3,4 and spot 6. postdiscal, subterminal and terminal dark lunular lines as on the forewing.

Underside colour also seems like the uppersides colour. Actually the underside is lilacine white and very delicate, slender and somewhat obsolescent. In dry season form the row of oval ocelli (Eyespots) of male Junonia atlites are only indicated by the yellow centered ovals. The most distinguished marking is the inner discal fascia crossing the wings. The female Junonia atlites markings are all heavier and more distinct.
